This webinar will explore key insights from NCFDD’s State of Faculty Development in 2026 report, based on responses from more than 1,000 faculty and academic leaders. The findings highlight a growing gap between the rising importance faculty place on professional development and declining institutional support. We’ll discuss how challenges such as increasing workloads, research funding uncertainty, and AI disruption are reshaping faculty work. We will also go over the types of support faculty say they need most, such as writing groups, mentoring networks, and leadership development. This session will provide a snapshot of the current landscape and what it means for institutions seeking to better support faculty success.
